Magia (English: Magic) is the first album by Colombian musician Shakira. The songs are a collection written by her since she was eight years old. However, it was hampered by a lack of recording and production cohesion and did not do well commercially. Shakira recorded this LP with Sony Music Colombia in 1991, at the age of fourteen. Only 1,200 copies were sold and the album is now a sought-after collector's item. For this reason, it is officially a promotional album - it is not considered an official album from Shakira's discography and is no longer available

As a schoolgirl Josefina Torres' gifts stood out among her classmates.

When she was 13 Josefina loved the SOR YEYE (SISTER YEYE) character played by actress Hilda Aguirre, and she completely identified with it. Josefina played that character for the first time at her School on a Mother's day of 1973.

Her performance was so successful that she got numerous invitations to play that character again.
At 15 , Josefina already had her first Child Entertainment Company in Barranquilla, Colombia.

And thanks to Journalist CLAUDIA CUELLO who had a supplement in the Colombian Newspaper El Heraldo called WHAT'S "IN" AND "OUT", Josefina received an unforgettable gift for which she will always be grateful: She was ranked by that Journalist as ULTRAIN.
Since she could not make a career in Entertainment, Josefina grew up wanting to help other children who wished to do so. She had such faith that TV would one day come to her town, that she started gathering promising children for that purpose.

Although few people believed her, but she persevered in her work so as to convince them it would be a reality. And in 1985, Josefina produced a competition called "CHILD STAR SEARCH", which went on over 6 months. Josefina obtained for her program sponsoring and award donations from the local Newspaper and Radio Stations, as well as from local Companies.

This is how Josefina came to meet SHAKIRA and how God used her to predict the future of this International Singer. Shakira won the competition for months and Josefina would take her to the local Newspaper so as to start making her known by the public.

Today, there is evidence of this: Josefina's words to the Manager of the Spanish Band MOSEDADES as she said to him: "I am standing before the future Number One Singer Worldwide. This child's fame WILL NEVER END".
Two years after her certainty she would have a TV show, her very first one was transmitted on September 13, 1986, on her Birthday. It was a gift from God and was called: "LONG LIVE THE CHILDREN".



Thanks to this Show, Josefina obtained gigs in different public celebrations where she would take SHAKIRA and other children, who were paid for their performances.

"LONG LIVE THE CHILDREN" stayed on during 8 successful years.

Josefina gradually changed the format of her program, in order to reach every one, regardless of their age. She changed her program's name to "FAME” and produced a Music Festival called “FUTURE ARTISTS MOTIVATED BY PERFORMING ARTS".
God used her through her shows and Josefina went all around Colombia's Northern Coast with them. She discovered another great Colombian singer, Monica Vives MAIA, and predicted her successful future.
In 1989 Josefina showed once again her capacities as a producer with the TV journalistic broadcast
"PLASTIC SURGERY : ¿VANITY OR REMEDY?"

Presenting live plastic surgery, “before, during and after” on several people.

This successful production lead her to host live THE BARRANQUILLA CARNIVAL ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL for several years. The wonderful reviews she got about the quality of her work were far better than getting a GRAMMY Award.

Josefina Torres was a judge in numerous competitions.

She also played in TV Soap Operas such as "LA CAPONERA" with Margarita Rosa de Francisco and "MAESTRO! PLEASE!". She was also a cast member for 4 years in "THANK GOD IT'S SATURDAY" a Variety Show that was on for 38 years in Colombia.

Josefina Torres was awarded as OUTSTANDING CITIZEN with other Barranquillans who worked for the Community.

She hosted a TV program for a religious channel called "TRANSFORMING LIVES "
STUDYING THE BIBLE for almost 14 years.
Today, Josefina Torres says to you:
“I now know God's plan for my life and only thanks to Him I achieved everything I have achieved. I wouldn't have accomplished anything without Love. To me, the only way to love God is loving one's neighbor, reaching an agreement in every possible way.

If anything gets out of hand, simply rest, leave it to God and carry on with your life trying to do good things around you, because God ALWAYS shows us the way. Keep in mind that to do unto others as you would have them do unto you is the best of prayers.

I ONLY KNOW THAT I MUST SHARE THE GIFTS GOD GAVE ME WITH EVERYONE AND BE GOD'S INSTRUMENT TO CARRY WORDS OF CONSOLATION AND UNITY.
